GDA Disabled Women’s Network

GDA’s disabled women’s network comes together to ensure disabled women’s voices are heard in the drive for both disability equality and gender equality.

GDA’s Women’s network has contributed their lived experience to vital research such as the Daisy Project with our allies at Wise Women, and Our Bodies Our Rights with Engender and Inclusion Scotland.

Our CEO, Tressa Burke, was invited to join the First Minister’s National  Advisory Council on Women and Girls in 2019, and GDA’s Women’s network has ensured disabled women’s participation in the  and feed in their vital lived experience to the dialogue and plans of the First Minister’s Advisory Council.
