To mark the restoration and re-floating of Richard Groom’s amazing sculpture Floating Head in the Clyde during Glasgow Doors Open Day in September 2021, Glasgow Science Centre and Sculpture Placement Group are hosting some fun and interactive sculpture workshops.
- We will provide & send out pre-cut shape and basic material packs
- Online workshop will last an hour and will enable you to make a floating sculpture
- All participants will be invited along to launch their unique creation at Glasgow Science Centre on Saturday 18th of September, it is not a condition, it’s up to you !.
- The sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities and the focus will be on fun and making!
- The session will be lead by artist Greer Pester and boat builder Jason Bradley offering participants to learn about shape, form, sculptural techniques as well as flotation and buoyancy!
