This is a group workshop attended in person.
This 2-day course will cover topics such as safe handling and storage of food, food hazards and contamination, important personal hygiene around food and cleaning and disinfection. There will be a short multiple choice exam on the second day. After successfully completing this you will receive a certificate in Food Hygiene from REHIS (Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland).
This could be a great course to attend if you lack confidence in preparing and storing food safely, would like to cook and prepare food more in your home, or would like to pursue volunteering/work in a food handling setting.
To register your interest in attending this event, please complete the form below or email [email protected]. Numbers are limited for these events, and so we cannot guarantee everyone a place.
Taxis*, lunch and personal support assistance provided.
*Please note that depending on distance or if you live out-with Glasgow, you may be asked to make your own way to a bus or train station in Glasgow where we can then collect you in a taxi. The return taxi would take you back to this station after the event.
