Community Development

Since 2001 GDA has been bringing disabled people together to build a strong community of identity.

Disabled people face barriers and inequality across all areas of life. These barriers persist and multiply, when our voices are left out of decisions that affect us.

Disabled people’s lived experience and expertise are vital to achieving a fairer, more equal society.

GDA’s accessible programmes remove barriers and build capacity, to empower disabled people to be leaders in our own lives and communities and in driving progress towards equality and social justice.
