The new Adult Disability Payment which will be administered by Social Security Scotland and which replaces PIP (Personal Independence Payment) will open for new applications from March in the following pilot areas: Dundee; Perth & Kinross and the Western Isles.
Further council areas including Glasgow are scheduled to be part of the national rollout of Adult Disability Payment in August 2022.
If you currently have an award for either PIP or for Disability Living Allowance you do NOT need to apply for the Adult Disability Payment. These awards will transfer automatically to the new Scottish system from August with no break in entitlement or payment.
