100 jobs at Social Security Scotland announced - disabled people encouraged to apply.

Social Security Scotland is to create 100 jobs at its Glasgow base as it undertakes its first major round of recruitment in the city. The vast majority of the jobs will be client advisor roles which are entry level positions.

The new jobs, made up of client advisor, team leader and management posts, will support the delivery of seven benefits that will be in place by the end of the year, as well as benefits to be introduced over the next three years, including disability benefits and the Scottish Child Payment.

Cabinet Secretary for Social Security Shirley Anne-Somerville said “Social Security Scotland will work with a range of partners to proactively promote these posts. We want to remove barriers to employment – so have taken steps like changing entry requirements to make these posts as accessible to as many people as possible.”

Social Security Scotland have arranged a special candidate workshop for GDA members interested in applying for client advisor posts with the agency.
