Work Experience Opportunity for Young Disabled People!

British Gas are offering two weeks of work experience for young disabled people aged 16-30.  Please see below for details on how to apply:

Would you like to kick start you career with help from British Gas? 

If so, why not join our 2-week work experience programme in Glasgow for people who have disabilities or a long-term condition

During the 2 weeks, you will gain an awareness of our products & services & get an opportunity to spend time with a customer services team & shadow one of our engineers, installing and servicing heating products & energy systems.

Although unpaid, the programme is designed to deliver a wide range of positive outcomes helping you gain new skills & experience, improve self-confidence and insight into an industry. We will give you the experience you need so you can get the job you deserve.

 We will get in touch to find out more about you so that we can support you to the best of our ability through the programme on an individual basis with any adjustments you may need.

 What do you need?

•  You need to be aged 16 to 30

• Not in employment, FT education or training

•  Have no unspent convictions

•  Be available for the full 2 weeks

The taster day for the programme will take place at our Scottish Gas offices Bothwell Road, Uddingston, Glasgow, G71 7UD on 25th July 2018  

 At the taster day, we will select a number of people to start the 2-week work experience programme with British Gas commencing on 13th August.  This is in partnership with our employee disability and wellbeing network - DAWN
