“Access for Democracy” event, 24th August from 10am.

An event exploring how disabled people’s voices and priorities can contribute to democracy in Glasgow and Scotland.

There will be an opportunity to find out about Participatory Budgeting and our Action Research led by disabled people, plus keynote speeches from GDA, Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council.

At this event you will have a chance to:

  • Experience our latest Purple Poncho Players drama group performance!
  • Find out how disabled people can have more say in making decisions that affect us all.
  • Hear about GDA’s Action Research on Participatory Budgeting, led by disabled members. 
  • Hear from keynote speakers including:
  • Minister for Communities & Local Government, Aileen Campbell
  • Depute Leader of GCC, Cllr David McDonald
